Heave ho! It’s over the shoulder it goes. Roy Davis (Laboratory Officer, IODP-USIO/TAMU) shows a big grin as he realizes he has been “had” by the Photoninja, Bill Crawford (Senior Imaging Specialist, IODP-USIO/TAMU). The normally camera shy Davis is shown shouldering the core liner in perfect form with the leading hand over the end cap. The end caps are eventually bonded in place with acetone. But when the core comes fresh from the drill floor, the cap is loose and must be held in place to keep the sample inside. (Credit: Bill Crawford, IODP/TAMU) [Photo ID: exp351_080]
