- General research interests: Application of marine seismic reflection and seafloor mapping techniques to understand marine tectonics, sedimentation, and volcanic processes; evolution of convergent margins with a focus on rifting; marine sedimenation processes; application of drilling operations and technology to creation of long-term subseafloor observatories; management of scientific ocean drilling programs.
