IODP CrossMark Policy

CrossMark is a multipublisher initiative by the CrossRef organization to provide a standard way for readers to locate the current version of a document. By applying the CrossMark logo, the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) is committing to maintaining the content it publishes and to alerting readers to changes if and when they occur. Click on the CrossMark logo to view the current status of a document (STATUS tab) or to receive additional publication record information about the document (RECORD tab).

Corrections/Errata Policy

If an author reports a scientific error that affects the content, interpretation, or understanding of the work reported, IODP will implement an erratum as follows:

  1. The HTML and PDF versions of the chapter will be corrected in situ.
  2. An “errata” link will be added to the Table of Contents where the chapter can be accessed.
  3. An explanation of the correction will be published on the volume errata page.
  4. The CrossMark metadata will be updated at CrossRef to reflect the current version of record and publication history.

Changes that do not significantly affect the scientific work will not trigger the correction cycle.
