Katerina Petronotis Manager of Science Operations Obtains clearance for operations in territorial seas, exclusive economic zones, and extended continental shelf waters; obtains environmental studies for permitting; ensures clearance for cabling and other seafloor hazards. Brittany Stockmaster Research Clearance & Permitting Specialist II Provides administrative support for Science Operations activities: expedition staffing correspondence and database; restricted party screening; invoices and order requisition processing and reconciliation; departmental supplies. Donna Hoover Administrative Coordinator II Oversees design, development, and implementation of technical systems and engineering equipment for coring, drilling, and reentry systems, legacy hole completions, and downhole instruments; oversees activities of logistical support team; supervises tool shops, downhole instrumentation lab, warehouses, and laydown yard. John Van Hyfte Supervisor of Engineering and Logistics Support Coordinates JRSO vessel resupply activities and oncoming and offgoing personnel with ship’s agent and vessel owner's representative. Timothy Bronk Marine Logistics Coordinator Oversees inventory and safe operations of JRSO warehouse, pipe yard, dock, and shops and use and maintenance of vehicles, forklifts, and cranes; trains and supervises student workers and courier functions; assists shipping and receiving in fabrication of crates, loading, and unloading; acts as shipping and receiving specialist when required. Tyrone Brashear IODP Materials Technician Coordinates JRSO shipping and receiving effort; responsible for compliance with hazardous material handling and shipping procedures; assists in monitoring safety procedures in the Shipping/Receiving loading dock area and shop. Jordan O’Keefe Shipping and Receiving Specialist Coordinates JRSO shipping and receiving effort; responsible for compliance with hazardous material handling and shipping procedures; assists in monitoring safety procedures in the Shipping/Receiving loading dock area and shop. Vacant International Shipping and Receiving Specialist Provides engineering support for development of mechanical or electronic systems for scientific drilling/coring operations, completions, and downhole instruments; provides engineering support for drilling operations. Andrew Howard Staff Engineer Supports design, development, improvement, and testing of downhole instruments; oversees routine calibration of instruments and downhole tools; maintains test facilities and laboratories; maintains and repairs test structures, machinery, and instruments; supports design testing installation. Eric Schulte Staff Designer Supports design, development, improvement, and testing of mechanical or electronic systems for scientific drilling/coring operations, completions, and downhole instruments; produces engineering CAD-based designs; provides design support; supports operations and engineering tools. Vacant Staff Designer Supports design, development, improvement, and testing of downhole instruments; oversees engineering lab and rig data acquisition; maintains test facilities and laboratories; maintains and repairs test structures, machinery, and instruments; routine calibration of instruments, downhole tools; supports design testing installation. Vacant Staff Designer Provides technical documentation and writing support for engineering and operations; administers JRSO digital asset management system. Vacant Staff Researcher Carries out design, development, improvement, and testing of downhole instruments used in scientific drilling and coring operations; supports surface data acquisition systems and drilling control systems. Matthew Suthers Allan Project Engineer Carries out design, development, improvement, and testing of downhole instruments used in scientific drilling and coring operations; supports surface data acquisition systems and drilling control systems. Billy Miller Electrical Project Engineer Oversees operational expedition planning and implementation including budget and cost estimates; sails as an operations superintendent. Kevin Grigar Supervisor of Operations Support Responsible for operational planning and implementation; provides drilling time and cost estimates for expedition and drilling proposals; oversees shipboard activities of drilling and wireline logging subcontractors; ensures safe operations and compliance with EPSP and TAMU safety panel guidelines. Vacant Operations Superintendent Maintains and develops equipment, procedures, and guidelines and recommends improvements for drilling and coring systems; cross trains with and supports the Materials Specialist in providing all required operation supplies, equipment, and hardware in support of expeditions; sails as an operations superintendent. William Rhinehart Operations Engineer Manages acquisition of operational and engineering hardware, supplies, and equipment; coordinates and tracks machine shop work; works with Core Techs to ensure inventory and identify hardware and QA issues; assists in cost projection and cost to complete activities. Michael Hadley Materials Specialist Supervises staff scientists who lead the implementation of expeditions; oversees expedition scientific staffing; sails as expedition project manager; provides scientific expertise to improve services; represents JRSO at IODP panel meetings.
